This is the driver's side bushing clamp. You can barely see the bolt at the top of the clamp. The bottom of the clamp hooks into the sub frame. One of the reason mine started squeaking was because it was coated with that yellow, gooey, waxey undercoating that VW uses when they assemble their cars.
